Commissions
Portrait of Alice Waters: the result of a commission from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. As winner of the 2009 Outwit Boochever Portrait Competition I was able to help choose a notable American for a portrait to be included in the NPG's collection. The New York Times Sunday Magazine piece is an insightful look at Alden McDonald, the president and CEO of Liberty Bank in New Orleans, and his efforts to help his customers and his city after Hurricane Katrina. Also pictured here is Leah Chase, legendary owner of Dooky Chase restaurant in New Orleans. The Naples, Italy images derive from a commission from Lachlan Mackinnon Patterson and Bobby Stuckey, owners of Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder Colorado. They sent me to Naples Italy several times in order to make photographs for their new restaurant, Pizzeria Locale. Click on any image to enter a gallery view of the work.
